Foundry Events

Poster House Party.

On June 14, 2024, we hosted a gathering at Poster House in New York City, in conjunction with Typographics. We invited foundry partners, agencies, and other friends in the creative industry for an evening of networking, food and drink, and exploring the museum’s exhibits.

Berlin Foundry Event.

On March 14, 2023 Monotype hosted a Foundry Partner event in Berlin. It was a fabulous night of connecting with friends across the industry. We closed out the night with a few rounds of True or False? hosted by Mary Catherine, where type designers and Monotype colleagues got to test their obscure trivia skills.

DiaTipo: Monotype & Friends Happy Hour.

On December 6, 2023 we gathered Monotype Foundry Partners, the DiaTipo board and presenters, and friends from the São Paulo creative community at Parahaus Art Gallery to connect with friends old and new. We enjoyed music from a live band, chatted, laughed, and explored the gallery’s immersive and interactive exhibits.

NYC Foundry Partners Cocktail Party.

Leading up to the holidays, on December 1, 2023 we threw a cocktail party at Analogue bar in in New York City. This wrapped up a full year of foundry events! We invited Foundry Partners and members of the creative community for an evening of tasty bites, drinks, and connecting. We also heard from Monotype’s CEO, Ninan Chacko, who shared a brief message to the type community.

Adobe MAX: Foundry Cocktail Hour.

To connect with our LA community, we hosted a cocktail party on October 12, 2023 at the Beaudry Room in the Conrad Hotel in Los Angeles. This party was during Adobe MAX, so much of the creative community was already gathered in town. We shared good food and craft cocktails, and heard briefly from MC.

Typographics 2023: Foundry Program pre-launch party.

From June 16 to 17, 2023, we attended Typographics in New York City. At the conference, we listened to inspiring talks, learned what projects everyone is working on and got to hang out with the rest of the type community. On Saturday evening, we hosted a cocktail reception at Lafayette restaurant to pre-launch our brand new Foundry Program. During the party, Mary Catherine played a really fun party game with some of our favorite type designers. (Video by Little Comb Productions, NYC)
